Suretherm Anti Condensation Paint is a paint to stop mould and damp caused by condensation. As condensation is reduced, unsightly and potentially harmful black mould will not grow. It is perfect for cold walls and ceilings as well as humid areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. Another use for Suretherm thermal paint is on industrial applications such as ducting, steel frame buildings, metal roofs, shipping containers and other surfaces which may be susceptible to condensation problems. If you plan to use Suretherm on metal please contact us for detailed specification.
Glass Microspheres within Suretherm paint maintains surface temperatures on treated substrates. This increases the dew point compared to ordinary emulsion which reduces the chance of condensation forming.
Independent tests confirm that surfaces treated with Suretherm paint take twice as long to cool down when compared to ordinary emulsion paint. Condensation takes 57% longer to form on Suretherm coated surfaces compared to ordinary emulsion paint.
Unlike other anti-mould or anti-condensation paints which contain biocides or simply only absorb moisture, Suretherm anti condensation paint can be overpainted and is an ideal solution for cold, exposed walls or areas where insulation may be missing or inadequate.
Suretherm thermal anti condensation coating can be used in various applications where condensation can create problems where moisture forms and mould grows.
The main uses for Suretherm are:
Suretherm can be used on most surfaces such as painted/wallpapered walls and ceilings, new and old plaster work, brickwork, concrete, galvanised steel and most painted plastics. It should be noted that to ensure compatibility on metal and plastic, a small test patch should be trialled before commencing full application.
Whatever the application, the surfaces must be completely dry before treating to allow Suretherm to work effectively.
This property was suffering from condensation and mould growth, particularly at the wall to ceiling junction as shown.
The area was poorly insulated which created "cold spots" which caused condensation to form and mould to grow.
Suretherm was applied on 2nd December 2015 and was inspected over three months later on 14th March 2016.
The results show that the mould has not grown back on areas treated with Suretherm.
This house was suffering from major condensation and mould issues throughout the whole property. The tenant regularly wiped mould from the surfaces but it kept coming back.
The area was poorly insulated which created "cold spots" which caused condensation to form and mould to grow.
Suretherm was applied on 1st February and was inspected 10 weeks later on 12th April 2016.
The results overwhelmingly prove that Suretherm really works!
Hi both – just re-discovered this email and wanted to fulfil my obligation regarding a reference for the thermal paint!
I have lived in a 1930s end terraced property for three years now and have been plagued with condensation and black mould on the walls in one of the bedrooms. The room in question is North facing and has two external walls. It’s also the smallest room in the house and as such, furniture is pushed up close to the walls making ventilation very limited. For the first two years, over the autumn and winter months condensation and black mould would regularly appear on the two external walls. After using the thermal paint, the issues completely vanished. We applied two coats of the thermal paint and then, once dried we applied two coats of standard emulsion. We have since been through another autumn and winter with no recurrence of the issues. The walls feel physically warmer to the touch and I have been very impressed with the product. I would confidently recommend this product to others.
Best regards
Martyn Hadacre
Suretherm Anti-Condensation Paint (ACP) is a water based internal emulsion which will significantly reduce condensation and mould by utilising Glass Microsphere Technology. Unlike other anti condensation paints, Suretherm paint does not contain any harmful biocides.
The glass microspheres effectively become ”charged” like a battery cell which enables them to retain heat for much longer compared to other decorative or specialist paints. Suretherm maintains surface temperatures on walls and ceilings which reduces the formation of surface condensation. Unlike other anti-mould or anti-condensation paints which contain biocides or simply only absorb moisture, Suretherm can be overpainted and is an ideal solution for cold, exposed walls or areas where insulation may be missing or inadequate.
